I turned 23 on Friday! I can't believe it is already my birthday again. I have always loved having my birthday on May 1st or May Day. It seems to be a celebration of Spring! I had a wonderful day. My students wrote me cards and notes, brought in flowers, and some of my cute girls even went to the office and came on the intercom singing "Happy Birthday!" My students are adorable. I can't believe I have less than a month left with them.
Jeff made my birthday absolutely wonderful, as always. He got up early to post a "Happy Birthday" sign, made my lunch, and sent me off to school with a kiss. He surprised me by taking me to Benihana's, a restaurant I had always wanted to try! It was so fun to watch the chef's tricks and chat with the complete strangers seated at our table. It was a great experience. We wound up the evening by grabbing frozen yogurt at my favorite spot and headed home. Jeff's gift to me was a complete pampering package at a local spa with a massage, manicure, and pedicure. I can't wait! I am so lucky to have him!
