Florida Trip

It has been so long since I've blogged and I have so much to catch up on! For all of you out there who haven't yet given up on our blog, stay tuned! I am making goals to be more on top of things.
I will have to backtrack a little so that I can write down and remember all of the fun stuff we've been doing these last few months.

At the end of July, we took a trip with my family to Florida. Alex was leaving on his mission in August and we wanted a chance to spend some time together. For those of you that don't know, Alex is obsessed with Harry Potter. No joke. He can quote it, knows all the characters, and, I think, secretly wants to be Harry Potter. On second thought, maybe he wants to be Ron since he thinks Hermione (Emma Watson) is so cute! Anyway, Alex really wanted to go to the Harry Potter theme park that is part of Universal Studios in Orlando, so off we went!

We had a fantastic time. We went to the beach, the Kennedy Space Station, and Universal Studios. They really did do a good job with Harry Potter section of it. You could drink butterbeer and walk around Hogsmeade (it was made to look like a quaint, snow-covered English town, which was ironic since it was SO HOT in humid Florida!) We also went indoor skydiving which was really fun to try. A huge thank-you to my mom and dad for providing such a wonderful vacation! Enjoy the montage of pictures!
