2010 in Review

I've come to the realization that I am simply too far behind in my blogging and I am tired of playing catch up. Instead, I will recap our amazing year in 2010 and start fresh with 2011!

We rang in 2010 with my family in San Diego. Oh, how we love warm weather and the beach. Especially in December and January.

Mission calls! My brother, Alex, is now serving in the Durban, South Africa mission. We got to talk to him at Christmas. We loved hearing his slight accent and funny anecdotes about being the only Mulungu (white guy) in his area. Jeff's parents recently hit their "hump day" or halfway point on their mission in Arcadia, California. We were able to spend Christmas Eve with them and loved catching up and visiting. We miss all of our missionaries but are grateful for their service!

Shortly after the school year ended in May, we escaped to St. George for a relaxing getaway. I love vacationing with this boy!

June 7, 2010
We celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary. I'm happy to report that we are absolutely, positively still in love!

Jeff's 1st work party with his new job at Cementation!

We took a family trip to Florida! So humid. So fun.

I began teaching my third class of darling 4th graders. My classroom theme is centered around Dr. Seuss's "Oh, the Places You'll Go!"

September 2010: We came, we ran, we squished, we crawled, and eventually, we conquered the DIRTY DASH! The mud run was ridiculous and so fun. For the record, Jeff's shirt was white when we started.

October 2010: Six magical days in Oahu. Just the two of us. White beaches, gorgeous blue water, incredible breakfast buffets, first time on a scooter, first time ocean kayaking, snorkeling, Polynesian Cultural Center, Dole Plantation ice cream, romantic beach sunsets with my favorite person.

Looking back, 2010 has really been a wonderful year. We've traveled, we've worked hard and we've learned a lot. We have also received so many blessings.

The biggest blessing and event of 2010:

We are going to be parents! Baby Goold is due around July 13th. We are so very, very happy.
