“Autumn, the year's last, loveliest smile.”
-William Cullen Bryant

I can never fully commit myself to one season, however, were I to do so, it just might have to be autumn. There is a certain welcoming crispness in the air after summer's drowsy heat, and I have been immersing myself in the season by making gingersnaps and pumpkin bread and by adding little autumn touches to our apartment. As I write, our pumpkin spice candle perfumes the air, and I have a cup of raspberry hot chocolate close by. Today, Jeff and I decided to celebrate this time of year by pulling on some cords (me) and sweaters (both of us) and heading to Santaquin to visit the Red Barn! It was such a fun little excursion. We browsed through quaint little crafts, ate delicious apple and cherry hand-held pies, and warmed up with apple cider! We even picked out our first pumpkin together, and it is a beaut! We came home with our pumpkin and some fun little gourds, and cuddled up to do some homework while sampling some of that pumpkin bread. Yum!

What a fun outing. I love Autumn. Those cookies look absolutely delicious!
I love the fall as well, but not when it is 100 degrees! I am jealous reading about sweaters and hot chocolate. I wish! Actually it has finally cooled off here but I don't think it will last. There really is nothing better than Utah in the fall.
Hooray! Talon and I LOVE Southridge Farms! We love to go get ice cream there in the summer. It's such a fun place. Looks like you guys had a fun night together. And mmm, your cookies look delish! Did you take that photo yourself??
Sounds like a fun day, except the homework part. You got it in right in time before the SNOW! Good thing it is going to warm up a little bit next week, I like autumn too and would miss it if we skipped right to winter.
You two are just too dang cute for words. How do you stand the cuteness?
confession: I did not take a picture of my own gingersnaps because they were eaten far too quickly (oops), therefore I just found a picture on the internet. But let's be honest, mine looked even better! ha!
I have tasted your gingersnap cookies, and they ARE delish! Yummmm. What a fun day you had. You didn't mention working out and making waffles in the morning though. That's another fun thing you did. (working out is fun, right?) Well, maybe just the waffles were fun. Love, your favorite mother-in-law.
You guys do the funnest things together. Oh and I LOVE the last picture of Jeff. Reminds me of the faces you pulled on our San Fran vacation!
So fun! Fall really is the best!
