In no particular order...20. He understands, or at least accepts, my love for Wendy's chicken nuggets, tomato basil soup, and You've Got Mail, which he has seen countless times.
19. He is the world's best singer of the song "Happy Birthday" which is also our song. Yeah. Long story.
18. He is always ready to tickle my back or rub my shoulders after a long day.

17. He is the cutest bus driver in the whole world!
16. Jeff is probably the least picky person that I know. He hates three things in this world: sushi, mustard, and sunscreen. He is always ready to try new kinds of food with me and I am SO glad that he now shares my love for Thai and Indian food.
15. He loves to start out sentences by saying, "here's the thing..." and then proceed to tell me something about myself. For example, when we were registering he said, "Here's the thing. If you ask me to choose between 2 things, I simply have to choose one of them quickly and do it with enough conviction so that you believe me. At this point, you will then say 'oh good, me too' or 'really? Because I was thinking that maybe we should do this.' This way, you get what you want and we get done a lot faster!" These observations of his never fail to make me laugh.
14. Jeff has the most amazing family. They have always made me feel so welcome and right at home with them. He has the most adorable nieces and nephews and I can't wait to become an aunt! I am also looking forward to having sisters for the first time ever, and I couldn't ask for better ones. His parents are some of the kindest people I know, and the whole family is so generous -- almost to a fault! :)
13. He let me hold his hand first! Ask him to read you the story I wrote about the event.12. He is Mr. Dependable. I can depend on him for everything. He has helped me with countless elementary ed projects, cutting out little shapes and figures, and coloring a ton! Every time I go out of town, I leave him with long to-do lists of things I didn't get to, and not only does he never complain, but he always does every single thing! I am SO lucky!
11. He loves S.A.S. just as much as I do. Each Sunday evening, we hold something we call S.A.S. which is a little bit like companionship inventory. We talk about the upcoming week, things that went well, and things we would like to work on. It is nice to have a set time each week to focus on each other and making our relationship better.
10. Jeff makes me LAUGH! Not a day goes by that I am not cracking up about something. I am sure that his sense of humor will carry us through many adventures in the years to come.
9. He understand my love/hate relationship with surprises. I LOVE being surprised when I have no idea it is coming. But if I know a surprise is right around the corner, then I unleash my full persuasive powers and investigative skills, to try and get to the bottom of it! Luckily, he anticipates this and succeeds in giving wonderful surprises.
8. He is a man of strong faith. I know that he will always keep his priorities in order. It is a source of strength and comfort.
7. He attends countless plays, musicals, and concerts with me. Even better...he usually ENJOYS them
! I love having a variety of things to do together.6. Jeff is so good about helping me turn dreams into realities. For Christmas, he took me to Wicked so that I could fulfill that wish. Also, I have always wanted to learn to play tennis, and so for my birthday he got me a racket and balls. This summer, we are going to travel to a few different hiking spots that I have had on my list. Can't wait!
5. He is a loyal sports fanatic. Oops, I mean fan. But really, it is so fun to see him get decked out in all his sports gear and cheer for his teams. He has even converted me to his teams!

4. He is always ready for an adventure and trying new things. A quality I love.
3. He lets me have my moment to cry, and then helps me accomplish whatever I must. I can remember one time in particular (although there have been a few). He was leaving for the night, and as he hugged me goodbye, my eyes filled up with tears because I had SO much schoolwork left to do and I was so tired from teaching all day. He said, "Let's just sit and cry for a minute," and led me back to the couch and just held me til I was done. Then, we figured out what I had left to do, he made me laugh, and I was able to get to work!
2. He loves to invent new "tricks" for us to do together. This is his favorite:

1. He loves ME more than anything!
Okay, so I know that this post is a little sappy, but I just wanted to share some of the things that I love about my darling fiance! Can't wait to be Whitney Goold!

Jeff sounds like the catch of the century and we've always thought that we're the lucky ones that he got you to agree to marry him!
Wow what a great list! He does sound like a great catch and so perfect for you! Yeah I saw that Stephanie had a link to your blog on her page and I am so glad that I found it too! I can't believe you are getting married in Utah and not in San Diego! I will unfortunately be gone by the time that your open house rolls around, but I am sure that the whole wedding and everything will be incredible! Are you in Poway right now? I would love to go to lunch sometime before I leave June 1!
You guys are adorable!!!! I am glad everything for you both has worked out! Marriage is SO FUN, and there is nothing better than being with the person you love!!!
What a great post, Whitney. Those were funny and I always love a little sap! You guys are going to have a fun life together. Now Jeff needs to post his top 20, I'm going to call him right now.
You guys could not be any cuter. I love reading about your lives and I'm so excited for the happy day! Thanks for sharing little pieces of the happy life of the soon-to-be Goolds!
It's fun to see how your relationship has developed over the last year -- I miss the days when we saw you guys every day because we were always hanging out in the same two apartments . . . ours, or theirs! How lucky that we get to marry roommates! This is a really cute post and I'm so excited for you two to tie the knot!
so cute!!!
This was so cute! Jeff is so lucky to have you. My favorite thing to read was how cute he was when you were crying about school work, simply because I can relate to that and your emotions. I wish Trace could have been here to help me with all that stress too. That was too cute of him! Now I want him to give a top 20 list about you!! I hope he reads these comments! Jeff, now it's YOUR turn! Whitney is the cutests!!!
Really loved this post, Whitney. You and Jeff are a match made in heaven and I'm thrilled for you both.
Sooo Cute!! And we got your invitation and it is absolutely adorable!!! We are so excited!
