Moving Backward

Warning: lots of complaining is ahead!

I am at work, trying to concentrate so that I can finish the two papers that I have due tomorrow (I know, I love my job, thanks Laney!), but I just CAN'T make myself do it. You all know the doomsday feeling, something heavy is hanging over your head and you know if you just start then you've already won half the battle. But. you. just. can't. bring. yourself. to. start. Yet, it is not the passing of time that has me alarmed; rather, I keep glancing at the clock thinking, "really? That is all the time that has passed since I last checked?!" I swear the clock is moving backward. Here's the thing, I hate having to go to work and school now that I am married. You are waiting and waiting to get married, it finally happens, you go on this wonderful honeymoon where you get to spend every moment together, and THEN you get back. And all of a sudden your husband is waking up at 7 to get to work, (while you sleep in til 8:30am feeling horribly guilty even in your dreams) and then you're getting home at 9pm, just in time to have a much too heavy meal for that time of night, read scriptures, and sometimes get in a quick episode of "The Office." Yuck. Don't get me wrong, I actually love going to school, and as I mentioned above, my job is incredible. But all those hours apart? No, thank you! I know, I know, you may insert a gagging noise here. But really! It's such a big change after your honeymoon. Now, what we really need is an essentials kit. Then we would never have to leave again! :) See what I mean here.

I'm laughing out loud and wiping tears! That guy is funny! Well at least this is a good sign that you still like being together. I think it's cute.

Whitney! I feel like this every Monday morning . . . after a whole wonderful weekend of spending every hour together, we have to go back to real life. I keep telling JT that I can't wait until he retires.

Oh, Whitney, sometimes life is dull. Sorry.

I remember saying to someone after we got married that we saw more of each other when we were engaged then when we were married. It's such a bummer when reality hits after the honeymoon.

Too funny! I want an essentials kit! yeah I am with you, reality after the honeymoon, a vacation, and now even a good weekend is always a little harsh.

Ha ha ha!! That was so funny!! Thank you for that Whit. It is so true though! The great thing about Trace and my situation is that we only know what it's like to see each other twice a month!! So when we see each other every night for only a couple hours then we will be living the high life!!
