Updates, Updates...

The last few weeks have been so fun, and I am so behind on my blogging!

On June 28, 2008, we celebrated Jeff's 1/2 birthda
y! Our apartment was still kind of a mess, but I decorated a little and made a fun dinner with mini strawberry shortcakes for dessert. Congrats to Lori for being the only sister who remembered his HALF birthday! :)

We also made a night of it at Trafalga recently! We played a round of mini-golf, where Jeff and I both hit holes-in-one, played skee-ball, enjoyed Dippin' Dots (Jeff's first time), and got sweet matching tattoos with our tokens. Jeff wants me to tell you that we combined for a -6 in mini-golf and he challenges any takers to a competition, including Tiger and his wife. Oh geez.

A couple of weeks ago, we got together with some girls from my El Ed group, their husbands, and my cousin Chelsey and her husband. We watched "Horton Hears A Who" (which is totally cute) outside on campus, caught a free t-shirt, played cards and enjoyed free ice cream! It was so great to see everyone and we can't wait to get together again soon!

The next day, we hiked to Stuart Falls. It was absolutely beautiful!! We couldn't have picked a better day - perfect temperature! Unfortunately, my camera died before we actually reached the falls, so there are not any pictures of us soaking wet from going THROUGH the falls. It was a little chilly, but felt so good on the hike out. We will definitely have to do that again.

We also spent time with my family who are in town visiting. We went to the rec center where we played a little basketball (Jeff has a definite advantage in our height challenged family), and played in the pool! The time passed far too quickly, but we said our goodbyes and spend the rest of the evening with Jeff's family celebrating Judy's birthday. I certainly lucked out in the mother-in-law department! We swam with the kids, at a delicious dinner, and then laughed til we cried at Brian Reagan.

The summer is going by so quickly! We can't believe it! We are excited to be done with school so that we can make the most of the remaining days of summer before starting classes once again.

I love the 1/2 birthday party! I always annoy my family when it it my half birthday... I tell them they have to give me a present (which isn't too hard since it is on Christmas Eve). Cute pictures of you guys!

You are having an utteryly fabulous summer vacation! I love that you hiked to Stuart Falls and played in the waterfalls. You are right, the summer has flown by... but that has been good for me (i'm not going to complain!) Where are you doing your student teaching? What grade are you in?

I love the celebration of half birthdays! The hike looks way fun too. Hiking is one thing I REALLY miss about Utah.
