South Africa Durban mission!!
Alex has always wanted to go someplace crazy...and he got his wish! I love the big grin that comes over his face as he reads his call, before he announces it to the rest of us. He was called English-speaking but anticipates having to learn some of the local languages. He will report on August 19th to the South African MTC. It was so fun to have him open it in the dorms with family and friends present. I don't know if you could hear it in the video, but his response was "I'm pretty pumped!"
Alex, we are so proud of you and grateful for this opportunity you have to serve the Lord and the people of South Africa. We love you!

South Africa?? nice! There are TONS of South Africans in New Zealand and I love them. They are very faithful people with a very neat accent! I've learned alot about that place being here. what a great place to serve!

I get chills EVERY time I watch a missionary open their call. I love missionaries. SO EXCITING!
I can hardly believe that is Alex, I guess I still remember his a little kid! Your parents haven't changed a bit! Congratulations, what a great experience he will have there! Please tell your parents I said 'Hello!'
I am so glad you got that recorded and I got to see it though I couldn't be there. I am so excited for you all. Were your brothers not there? Are you psyched?
